Thank you to all the Members and Parents for helping make the '07 ELHS Percussion Section the best ever. The Members, Instructional Staff, Pit Crew and Parents unified and worked together as a Team to help take the Band and Percussion Ensemble to new heights.East Lincoln Percussion Ensembles Use Innovative Percussion
For the third year East Lincoln HS Percussion Ensembles are pleased to announce that we will use Innovative Percussion products exclusively for marching and concert percussion implements.
Nashville, Tennessee based Innovative Percussion, is a World leader in the manufacture of outstanding drumsticks, mallets and educational material. East Lincoln joins outstanding Innovative Percussion endorsers such as, The Cavaliers, Phantom Regiment, Bluecoats, Glassmen and many more.

2007 East Lincoln Percussion Staff Bios
Percussion Coordinator ~ Greg Dearman
Greg enters his third year as the Percussion Coordinator at East Lincoln High School in ’07 with more than 25 years experience in the marching activity. In 1997 Greg founded four-time WGI Independent World Class Finalist, Carolina Thunder Percussion Ensemble. During that time he served as the units Executive Director and was a member of the WGI Percussion Advisory Board. Other instructional credits include Clemson University Drumline and the ‘91 DCI Class A-60 World Champion Pioneer Drum & Bugle Corps.
Greg was elected Percussion Director and Board Member with Carolina Winter Ensemble Association in ’05 to ’08; is a member of the Florida Federation Judges Association and is an Artist/Endorser with Innovative Percussion.
Front Ensemble ~ Damon Boston
Damon Boston joins the East Lincoln staff full time after two seasons of guest consultation with the percussion section here. A retired Lieutenant Colonel in the USAF, Damon flew over 3300 hours in the KC-135 Air Refueling Tanker and is a Veteran of Desert Storm.
Damon began playing drums and percussion growing up in Indiana and marched with the Madison Scouts Drum & Bugle Corps in ‘77 and ‘78. He later worked with numerous high school bands in the upper Midwest and taught the Madison Junior Scouts, Pioneer, Kilties, and Racine Scouts drum & bugle corps’. In 2002 and ’03 he was the Director of the Kilties Senior Drum & Bugle Corps. More recently, he has worked with the drum line at North Moore High School in NC.
Damon and his wife Diane have two children, Dan 24 and Katie 23, and make their home in Seven Lakes, NC.
Battery ~ Joey Brege
Joey enters his fourth year as a member of the East Lincoln percussion staff in 2007. This year he will serve as the battery tech. His experience marching includes 4 years at EL fall line and 1 indoor line ('99-'02), 2 season at Carolina Gold ('03,'05) and the inaugural season of WGI Independent World Class, Constitution Indoor Percussion Ensemble (’07). Joey has enjoyed much success teaching, arranging and performing in the marching percussion activity, and at only 22 years old, looks forward to much more.Bass Drum Tech ~ Michael Jordan
Michael is a graduate of East Lincoln High School and a 3 year member and section leader of the bass drum line. This will be Michael's first year on percussion staff.
